About Poltava National Medical University
The Poltava Ukrainian Medical & Stomatological Academy is considered as one of the best Medical Educational Institution in the region. It is a higher educational Institution for training of doctors, including dentists. The academy started its journey back in the year 1921. With the course of time, the coveted Institute moved to the Poltava city and since then, became known to all as the Poltava State National Medical University.
In the year 1994, the Poltava Medical Dental University IV received the highest level of accreditation and status of Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy. In 2004, the IV accreditation level was confirmed.
The Poltava State Medical University consists of several faculties. Those are as follows.

Basically there are three types of educational levels present here. Those are Junior Specialist, Bachelor and a Specialist. The departments are mainly dental and medical.
The institute is recognized and listed in the International Medical Education Directory. It is also recognized by the WHO.
More than 15000 students are studying here presently on various specializations including 729 foreigners from 37 countries. Students coming from countries like India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Morocco, Algeria, Jordan, Kenya, Libya, Russia etc.
Eligibility and Admission Procedure
The Institute considers all the applications on individual basis. Students, who have additional qualifications, often get some advantages.
Generally, the Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy starts accepting applications from March every year. Students, who are willing to take admission in the coveted Institute, have to follow three steps.
First, one has to get an Invitation letter. To get that, one has to send the copy of International passport and the copy of school leaving certificate to the University authority. Then after getting positive nod from the University, the concerned student can apply for the visa to the nearest Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate along with the documents such as original invitation letter, original international passport, Higher Secondary School Certificate, Birth certificate, medically fit certificate etc.
After acquiring the visa from the Embassy or consulate, the student must inform the University authority regarding his arrival in the country. A representative generally receives students at the airport on behalf of the University. It is to be kept in mind that in case student will not inform us about his/her arrival, he/she shall be deported back to homeland.
The University campus consist of sixteen large buildings, including five academic buildings, four dormitories, household enclosures, a vivarium, hangars, a library, reading rooms, sports complex, dining room, cafe, and health and sports camp.
The Institute consists of a preparatory department for international students. Several practical project works take place to help the student gain knowledge and give them handful experience.
